Parent Resources

One of our main goals in StudentLife is to partner with parents of teens in any way possible. Today's adolescents face a barrage of challenges, leading to some pretty difficult seasons for most of them. Trying to guide a teenager through these seasons as the parent is, therefore, an extremely daunting task. Because of that, we simply wanted to highlight a few resources that may help you and your teen navigate some of the pitfalls of modern adolescence. If you have an issue not covered in these resources, or if you just want to talk to someone as a parent and/or family, please contact Denny Plzak - and we'll do our best to help.

To Write Love On Her Arms - An organization seeking to link teens and families to appropriate help/treatment options for self-injury, eating disorders, and addiction.

Crisis Pregnancy Centers - A local nonprofit offering information, counseling and care for unplanned pregnancies.

Every Young Man's Battle - A simple, practical book written to help young men live pure lives in a sex-saturated culture. We highly recommend going through this book with your son.

Every Young Woman's Battle - The same kind of practical book written to help young women live pure lives in this culture. Again, we highly recommend reading this book with your daughter.

Youth Culture Window - An ongoing blog discussing trends in youth culture from a biblical perspective. It always includes some helpful advice about navigating these issues with your teens.

The Soucre for Parents- This website is designed to help parents build relationships and teach biblical values.

Disclaimer: Part of our mission at StudentLife is connect people to treatment and resources that may help them live a Better Life. While we believe in the power and efficacy of treatment, you are responsible for interviewing and selecting any provider. As StudentLife and Spring of Life do not provide treatment services, Spring of Life cannot accept responsibility for any of the services provided by these or any other providers.
