/// WHAT TO EXPECT At Spring of Life we feel that it's OUR responsibility to "clear the way" for you to come to church. We want you to be able to experience the great music, encouraging messages, friendly people and an enjoyable atmosphere. And we know that your first time at a church, any church, brings up some questions. What kind of church is this? What should I wear? What's available for my kids? What should I expect in church? This place contains the answers to our most frequently asked questions. What kind of church is this? Spring of Life Christian Church is an independent, non-denominational church. What does that mean? It means: 1. We're locally owned and operated. The buck stops here. Spring of Life sets its own budget, hires its own staff, its own property and raises its own money. 2. The Bible is our sole authority. 3. We seek to unify believers. Many divisions in the church have more to do with man-made traditions than issues of doctrine. Spring of Life is an attempt to get back to the simple Christianity of the New Testament. 4. We seek to present the unchanging Word of God in the context of our unique local community. What should I expect in church? You'll enjoy upbeat music and practical messages that help you deal with real life issues. What you learn on the weekend, you'll be able to use during the week. What should I wear? You can wear what you want. We want to avoid the notion that who you are and how you dress on Sunday is different than what happens in the rest of the days of your life. We're more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear. So, dress casually and you'll fit right in. What about my children? We know that as a parent you need to be sure that your children are in a SAFE learning environment. And we know that your children are looking for a FUN place to learn. So we put a lot of effort into developing terrific children's programs. We've invested our best to make sure that both of these goals are reached. You will see that in the rooms the children and students meet in, and even more in the volunteers who work with your kids. Since the service in the auditorium is geared for adults, children can quickly lose interest in what is going on. We don't want them to distract you from your worship experience and devotion to God during this time. That's why we encourage you to provide the best for your kids by having them attend the age-appropriate class specifically designed for their needs. |
